Terms of Use

These terms apply to the DailyWall app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch ("the app") and to this website. The app is developed and published by Serkan Kaplan ("we"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or extract its drawings, fonts, stickers, tapes or other assets for use outside the app.

2. Your content

Everything you write, draw or attach in the app is yours. We claim no rights to it and, as described in the Privacy Policy, we cannot see what stays on your device, in your iCloud account or on your shared walls. The exceptions are what you choose to send us yourself: a wish you hang on the public 2027 Wish Wall and the short copy of a paper that goes with a report. You are responsible for what you put on a wall, including a shared wall and the Wish Wall, and for having the right to use any photo you attach.

When you hang a wish on the Wish Wall you allow us, free of charge and for as long as the wish is on the wall or in its archive, to show it to everyone in the app and on dailywall.app, and to let people share it as an image or link. You can delete your wish at any time; this ends that permission for the future.

3. Shared walls

Shared walls run on Apple's CloudKit. When you create a wall and invite people, they can see the wall, hang paper on it and see who hung each paper. When you join a wall, the owner and the other participants can see what you hang. Anyone with an invitation link or QR code can join a wall, so share invitations only with people you want on the wall. The owner may remove any paper or participant, or delete the wall, at any time; you may leave a wall at any time.

We cannot see the content of shared walls, so the tools to keep a wall safe are in the app: you can report a paper (a short copy goes to us so that we can look into it, and the paper is hidden for you straight away) and block a participant (their papers are hidden for you on every wall). If someone on a wall behaves badly, you can also leave the wall and write to us.

4. Rules for public and shared content

These rules apply to everything you post on the 2027 Wish Wall and on shared walls. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post:

• hate, harassment, bullying or threats against anyone, or content that encourages violence;
• sexual content, or anything that sexualises minors;
• content that encourages self-harm or suicide (if you are struggling, please contact a local helpline or emergency services; the app shows where to find help);
• personal information about anyone, including yourself: full names of private people, phone numbers, e-mail or home addresses, social media handles or links;
• advertising, spam, referral or promo codes, or promotion of accounts, channels, products or services;
• anything illegal, or content you have no right to share.

Automatic moderation. Every wish is checked automatically before it appears, using our own filters and OpenAI's moderation and language models, as described in the Privacy Policy. Links, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and handles are removed automatically. A wish that breaks these rules is not published. Automatic checks can make mistakes in either direction; if yours was rejected unfairly, rewrite it or write to us.

Reports and removal. Anyone can report a wish or a paper and block its author. A wish reported by several people is hidden and checked again. We may remove any public content that breaks these rules, or that we reasonably believe harms others, without notice.

Repeated violations. If a device keeps posting content that breaks these rules, we may permanently stop it from posting on the Wish Wall. We may also suspend or end the Wish Wall, or any other public feature, at any time.

To report something urgent, write to [email protected]; we act on reports of objectionable content as quickly as we can, normally within 24 hours.

5. Free use and DailyWall Pro

The free version lets you hang up to five notes a day on your personal wall and two papers per person per day on each shared wall, and includes every free paper shape, handwriting style, sticker, tape, string and wall as well as the Lock Screen wall. DailyWall Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that removes these limits, keeps your walls in iCloud and unlocks the Pro sticker, tape, string and wall packs. There is no free trial.

• Subscriptions are sold by Apple through the App Store in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the purchase is confirmed.
• A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy; we cannot issue refunds ourselves.
• Prices may change; you will be told before a change applies to your renewal. Features included in Pro may be extended over time; content packs described as "Pro" may change between versions.

6. Lock Screen and Shortcuts

Setting the wall as your Lock Screen wallpaper relies on the Shortcuts app and an automation that you create on your device. The app produces the wallpaper image; iOS and Shortcuts apply it. We cannot guarantee that iOS will always apply a wallpaper exactly as produced, and a change in iOS may require the automation to be set up again.

7. Third-party services

The Wish Wall's automatic moderation uses OpenAI, as described in the Privacy Policy. Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat. Sync and shared walls use Apple iCloud and CloudKit. Our server runs on Cloudflare. These services are subject to their providers' own terms, and their availability is outside our control.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app working well, but it is provided "as is" without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, and may stop providing the app or a part of it. Your data remains yours on your device and in your iCloud account regardless.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including lost data, or for content posted by other people. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may end your licence, or your access to public features, if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content, liability, governing law) survive termination.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in. Disputes are settled by the courts and consumer arbitration boards of Türkiye unless those rules give you a different forum.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the new version is published at this address with a new date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
